BORDERS OF DISTANT WORLDS: COMPLETE EDITION OUT NOW! + Reflections on 2025
She is finally here!
BORDERS OF DISTANT WORLDS: COMPLETE EDITION has been out for less than a week and I have been pleased with the reception of it. It has been a hard road, frankly, trying to release 18 songs (for me anyways) but I think it was worth the temporary pain to share my art with you all. Please head to my Bandcamp to take a listen and also check out the CD release (which was a whole journey to produce - so please buy one! or three! or the whole 210 unit inventory! :D) I humbly ask you also to share the release with whoever you think may enjoy the sounds.
Looking back, 2025 has been a difficult year but also one of some significant personal breakthroughs for me, which I won’t detail, but just know it is something that is a tremendous weight off my shoulders. No one can ever say I am not persistent when I have my eye on a goal I am trying to achieve!
Acting wise, it was slightly better than last year, booking 2 new Film and TV roles (one, The Copenhagen Test, premieres Dec 27 in the US on NBC, and I also filmed another larger role on a Netflix show premiering I believe in Jan 2026). I also filmed (although booked last year) a teeeeny part on a major show which was a big highlight this year for me.
What I hope for 2026 is stability and incremental growth: not just financially, but personally, taking on things that add to the rich fabric of my life and keeping those near and dear to me close and nurturing those relationships deeply. I think community is something I want to cultivate more IRL and that takes courage for an introvert like me, but I will be thinking about how and what that might look like moving forward.
I also really want a cat. My beloved Sarge passed in 2021 and the hole in my heart keeps growing with no one to fill it. I need to dote on something, because my plants keep dying even though I moved out of the hobbit hole I had been living in since 2019 and have more light. I managed to keep a cat alive for 20 years (with help from the grandparents!) so I should be okay to do the same for the next 20.
My film, The Cold Ride, also showed to cast, crew, and supporters in November. I honestly cannot believe it was actually completed and that it is a fully fleshed out piece of art right now. The crew and the PP team worked really hard on those 14 minutes of film and I am grateful and thankful for their artistry and dedication. My biz partner and I have big plans for it and other releases we are working on and we will NOT be stopped! Film festivals, here we come.
Anyways, after more than a year I am taking some much needed time off from both my day job and creative endeavours. I want to dedicate all my love and time during the holidays to friends who I cherish and acquaintances I respect. I truly hope that your time with your families (blood or chosen) and friends are fulfilling and happy during this holiday season.
Much love and respect to you all, and STREAM/SHARE (PLEASE!!!)/BUY BORDERS OF DISTANT WORLDS: COMPLETE EDITION!!
